HOW CAN WE MAKE OUR CITIES LIVABLE PLACE..........

We are living in the current and urbanized world and cities. In this urbanized world we cannot live a pleasant life. Because these urbanized cities are more polluted and we cannot see the natural environment here, we can see the huge buildings and lots of vehicles. Because of the increasing population human need living place, because of that they destroying the natural environment and building the huge and large amount of buildings to fulfill their needs. They did not considering about any other factors. So these cities are polluting and day by day we suffering from some diseases and some time we are getting not only health effects but also mentally effects. When we make a city we need to consider all of aspects of human. If not we want to face so many problems.

Now we will see how we can make our cities livable. Before come to this concept we need to know what the human needs are and what are the aspects and barriers also.

Aspects of human:

1    .     Fresh and clean air to respiration.

2    .     Residence to live.

3    .     Food 

4    .     Water

5    .     Transportations.

6    .     Clean surrounding.

7   .     Neighbors

Those are the main aspects of human.

The land is the limited resource in this world. Because of the increasing population we want to manage our needs with the limited resource. We can build apartments, but we want to consider all the aspects.

We can make a small garden and nice surrounding within the apartment. It will provide us nice surrounding, fresh and clean air. So we can feel the nature and it will give a sort of relax to us. We can make our house and garden very colorfully.

When we living in the city we need a neighbors to communicate and we expect to make a good relationship with others, it also give us a relax and clear mind.

In our living city we must have an entertainment area. We need to spend our times with our family. It also a good thing to reduce the stress.so we can enjoy our leisure time with family members.

When we make the city like this we will face so many problems, because all of the human being is not like the same. Some of them aspects differ from another person’s aspect. It will very hard to fulfill all of them aspects of all. But we can manage the situation.

If we make our living city as a livable place no need to build hospitals and asylums.

Importance of English

Language is a source of communication. There are so many languages in this world and we cannot count it. English also a language and it is an international language. Nowadays we cannot live without English; because English is that much important in our life and it is an only language that connecting the world.

Every country has its own national language. In Sri Lanka also we have Sinhala language as our national language. But in our University systems they use the English medium.

 

They are using English as a medium for some reasons. Some of those are :-

1. English is an international language.

2. There are four major ethnic groups in Sri Lanka but the spoken language is different person to person, all of them are not speaking our National language. Their mother tongue is different. Some of them are speaking Tamil as a mother tongue, some of them using Malay as a mother tongue, most of them using the national language as a mother tongue. When it comes to university system we cannot approve all of the mother tongue. Because it is not impossible. If they use our national language in our university system other ethnic group will not continue their higher studies, because they cannot continue without fluent language. So our international language is approved in the universities.

 

3. As  professions we should know the International language because we want to move with professionals and sometimes with foreigners. So we should be very fluent in English language

Due to these reasons we have to be fluent in English to succeed in whatever we do and wherever we go. Besides these reasons there are many reasons as to why studying English is important. Learning English properly will be a deciding factor in acheiving your goals...
